A Pennsylvania man with a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit was arrested for causing a fatal crash that killed his passenger last month, Bethlehem Township police announced on Friday, Feb. 21.
Randy Diomar Donato, 32, of Easton, was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima on William Penn Highway near Chipman Road when he lost control and crashed into a tree at 2:07 a.m. on Jan. 5, authorities said.

A 67-year-old man from Buckingham Township, Bucks County, died after a crash along Route 33 in Northampton County, the coroner’s office announced on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Jerome J. Ozovek suffered a medical event, leading to the crash on the northbound off-ramp to Main Street at the Tatamy Exit in Palmer Township on Monday, Nov. 25, according to Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek.
Ozovek was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner ruled the cause of death as natural due to a medical event.

An Alabama man sits in a Northampton County jail cell after authorities say he opened fire during a road rage incident on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Jesus Torres Gonzalez, 45, of Birmingham, Ala., is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and related counts, according to state police.
The shooting occurred in the westbound lanes of Route 22 in Bethlehem Township around 4:45 p.m., troopers said. Investigators believe Gonzalez fired two shots at a Honda Civic from his 2006 BMW Z4.
