Man Arrested With 'Weapon Of Mass Destruction' Was Wanted In Northampton County
A 42-year-old man from Northampton County was arrested on a warrant related to his possessing an explosive device, authorities said. Thomas Stocker Jr. was arrested on Friday, Aug. 30 in Monroe County, according to Slate Belt Regional Police. Police in Northampton County said they found an "unsecured explosive device" along with a stash of drugs in a bag discarded by a wanted man last Thursday, April 25. Thomas Dee Stocker Jr. is sought for weapons of mass destruction, resisting arrest, and drug offenses, according to Slate Belt Regional Police. Troopers Remove 'Homemade Pipe Bombs' From Schuylkill County Home
State police are searching for answers after a pair of "homemade pipe bombs" were discovered hidden in the ceiling of a vacant Schuylkill County apartment unit. It happened on Wednesday, May 31, troopers wrote in a release. Police in Girardville Borough were called to an apartment at 30 West Main Street to investigate a "possible explosive device," authorities said. Explosives Found Inside Lehigh Valley Home
State police paid a visit to a Northampton County home early Saturday and left with two explosives, authorities say. Troopers were called to a residence on Flafair Drive in Williams Township around 10:45 a.m. on May 20 for a report of a found grenade, they wrote in a release. At the scene, a second grenade was eventually discovered. Both weapons were found to be "inert," and the Bethlehem Bomb Squad took possession of the explosives, troopers said. No one was injured and police say no charges will be filed in connection with the find.

Bomb Squad Called After ‘Suspicious Item’ Found At Northampton County Park
Bomb squads and first responders rushed to a Northampton County park to investigate a “suspicious item” that was found on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. The item was found at Bangor Memorial Park shortly after 1 p.m., according to Mayor Brooke Kerzner.
