Greater Philadelphia woke up in a winter wonderland Tuesday, Jan. 16 as a wintry system worked its way up the eastern seaboard Monday night, Jan. 15, and into the early morning hours.
Though the snowfall has mostly tapered off, winter weather advisories remain in effect as of 3 p.m. Tuesday for Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, and Philadelphia counties, said the National Weather Service.

Man Admits To Filming Child Rapes In Multiple Counties, Lancaster DA Says
A man has admitted to raping a child in his care and filming it, the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office announce on Monday, Jan. 8.
On Wednesday, Jan. 3, Arturo Aleman, 47, of the 100 block of Green Street, Lancaster, admitted to raping a child in his care in Lancaster and Berks counties from 2016 through 2022.
When the girl was just 14 years old she "disclosed the abuse to Lancaster City Bureau of Police Detective Jessica Higgins, who began her investigation in Oct. 2022," the DA explained.

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is enacting the city's Code Blue ordinance for the following periods:
7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4 to 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5
7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6
5 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7
All dogs in Reading should be indoors while the code is in effect, with exceptions for supervised walks, bathroom breaks, and exercise, said ARL officials.
