UPDATE: The body of a New Milford High School senior was removed from a borough pond hours after what witnesses said was a tragic accident. Clinten Ajit, 18, was doing a good deed when he went into the Hard Castle Pond behind the Dorchester Manor Apartments near the borough athletic fields around 7:15 p.m. Friday, April 22. UPDATE: Two young children were being cared for after authorities found their parents dead in their Rochelle Park home on Saturday. The bodies of Mandy Staples, 35, and her ex-husband Marcos Gagnon, 43, who'd been living in Atlantic County, were found on the second floor of their Schlosser Drive home around 11 a.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The children -- ages 5 and 6 -- were found unharmed in the home and were being cared for, responders said. A Ridgewood homeowner taking a trash can to the curb late Wednesday discovered the body of a woman in a large leaf pile. UPDATE: Authorities were trying to identify a driver who was killed when a speeding sedan rammed into a Garden State Parkway toll booth divider and burst into flames before dawn Saturday. The fire from the crash shortly after 3:30 a.m. was so intense that it melted one of the booths at the northbound Bergen Toll Plaza in Saddle Brook, responders said. A troubled Bergen County man apparently died by suicide using a running lawn mower, authorities said. Responders didn't initially know the circumstances after a relative found the 33-year-old Fair Lawn man's body in his backyard Monday afternoon.
