A Coatesville man is in police custody after authorities say he resisted arrest at a traffic stop. It happened in New Garden Township on March 1, said the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department in a statement. Officers were patrolling near Gap Newport Pike and Newark Road when they saw a dark-colored Kia driving erratically, authorities wrote. Police: DUI Man Tries Leaving Scene Of Chester County Crash With Child
A 31-year-old Toughkenamon man was under the influence when he crashed his car and then tried walking away from the scene with a child who had been riding in the car, authorities said. Felipe Sica-Cuyuch was charged with DUI, endangering the welfare of children and related traffic offenses, according to the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department. Erratic PA Driver Had Meth, Marijuana In His System, Police Say
A Landenberg man who had methamphetamine and marijuana in his system is facing DUI charges, authorities said. Myrlan E. Dowell, 41 showed signs of impairment when he was stopped by police on Dec. 11, 2020, around 10:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Baltimore Pike, in New Garden Township, according to the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department. Subsequent testing results showed a presence of marijuana and methamphetamine in his system, police said. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.
