A New Jersey man who orchestrated the arson of a Bucks County book warehouse—injuring a firefighter and causing over $6 million in damages—has been sentenced to six years in federal prison, authorities announced.
Ramiz Duka, 62, of Cherry Hill, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Kelley Brisbon Hodge for his role in the Dec. 10, 2022, fire at Ebooks Web LLC on Bridgewater Road in Bensalem, Acting U.S. Attorney Nelson S.T. Thayer, Jr. said on Monday, March 10.

Molotov Cocktails Hurled At PA Rep. Alec Ryncavage’s Office (Video)
An unidentified man attempted to firebomb the legislative district office of Pennsylvania Representative Alec Ryncavage, authorities said.
The attack happened late Wednesday night, Feb. 21, at Ryncavage’s Nanticoke office, which shares walls with a family-owned pharmacy and a physical therapy office, he said in a statement.
The suspect ignited and threw two incendiary devices toward the building, but no one was injured, officials said.
“This is concerning for my constituents, my staff, and the community,” Ryncavage wrote. “Sadly, someone wanted to light it all on fire.”

PA Mom Launches Fundraiser After Arson-Suicide Kills Husband, Injures Family
A Lancaster Township woman has started a GoFundMe after her husband died in an arson-suicide that left two of their sons and a family guest critically injured.
Sophan Duong, the wife of Simon Hen, created the fundraiser to support her family after the Sunday, Jan. 19 fire that destroyed their home on Wilderness Road.
The fire, sparked during a domestic dispute, began when Hen, 46, poured gasoline throughout the upstairs of the house and set it ablaze, police said. He died at the scene from smoke inhalation and thermal burns, according to Lancaster County Coroner Eric Bieber.

A Philadelphia man was sentenced to up to six years in state prison for setting a fire that caused over $1 million in damage to a Croydon business and injured a firefighter, officials announced Thursday, Jan. 16.
Shayne Holland, 26, pleaded guilty in November to two counts of arson, along with charges of reckless burning, criminal mischief, possession of explosive material, and disorderly conduct, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

A Sellersville woman is accused of igniting a fire that destroyed a shed, scorched a vehicle, and spread to brush, “risking catastrophe,” authorities said.
Alizandria Alverio, 42, was arrested on January 2, 2025, after investigators tied her to a blaze on Maple Avenue in Sellersville Borough, Perkasie Borough Police announced on January 10.
The fire broke out on December 23, 2024, engulfing an unoccupied vehicle, a shed, and surrounding brush, according to police. Firefighters from the Sellersville Fire Department were able to extinguish the flames before they reached nearby homes.
