DWI Driver Admits To Going 107 MPH In Crash That Killed 8-Year-Old Philly Boy: Prosecutor A 25-year-old Egg Harbor City man pleaded guilty on Thursday, Feb. 27 to aggravated manslaughter in a crash that killed an 8-year-old boy in Absecon in July 2023, authorities said. On Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 3:25 a.m., Edward Johnston was intoxicated and driving 107 miles per hour on White Horse Pike when his vehicle crashed into the back of a parked vehicle, where Javier Velez, a Philadelphia resident, was sleeping while his father and brother were fishing, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. In a news release on Wednesday, March 27, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office asked for public assistance in the investigation into the 1985 killing of Raul Sanchez.
