Barber Fires 7 Shots, Kills Neighbor While On Phone With Dispatchers, Montco DA Says
A barber calling police on his neighbor shot and killed him while on the phone with dispatchers, authorities in Montgomery County said.
Stephen Strassburg, of Hatboro, was on the phone with dispatchers when 41-year-old Maurice Byrd shot him just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said.
Strassburg lives above Byrd's business, Razor Reese's Salon and Spa on North York Road, and the two apparently had been involved in an ongoing dispute, Steele said alongside Hatboro Police Chief Mark Ruegg.

Deadly Horsham Cemetery Shooting Was Self-Defense: Montco DA
The fatal shooting of a man at a Horsham cemetery during a birthday celebration last month was justified, and no criminal charges will be filed, says the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in a release.
Daniel Hawkins, a 29-year-old Philadelphia resident, was gunned down at Whitemarsh Memorial Park on Saturday, March 18, Daily Voice has reported. Another Philly man, 33-year-old Arian Davis, was treated at Abington Hospital for gunshot wounds to his jaw, leg, and hand.
Now, prosecutors say that Davis killed Hawkins in self-defense.

Gunman Captured Nearly 3 Months After Upper Gwynedd Shooting: Police
A North Wales man was captured nearly three months after shooting and injuring two people in Upper Gwynedd, authorities said.
Damian Thomas, 24, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday, July 19, after police detectives and members of the US Marshals Service learned he had been staying at a house in Philadelphia, they said.
The man was driving along Sumneytown Pike when he shot two people around 10 a.m. on April 16, police said.
Thomas fled the scene, and both victims were taken to Abington Hospital for treatment, authorities said.

DUI Motorist Charged In Crash That Killed MontCo Woman Walking Dog
A DUI motorist who struck a woman who was walking her dog along a Montgomery County sidewalk last month has been arrested in the case, authorities said.
Michael Petrocik, 71, of Glenside, was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, DUI, reckless driving, and other offenses in the December killing of 61-year-old Mary T. Duffy, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele, and Lower Moreland Township Police Chief David J. Scirrotto said on Jan. 28.
