Duo Charged In Week-Long Allentown Robbery Spree, Police Say A man and a woman sit in Lehigh County jail after police say they masterminded a string of robberies across Allentown over the last week.  Tyson J. Allentown Police Track Down Car In Deadly Hit-Run Allentown police have located a car involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, Feb 15. Police took the vehicle -- presumably a white Acura TSX --  into custody on Tuesday,  Feb. 22, they said. Steven Bernhard, 39, of Macungie, was killed in the crash on 17th Street and Sumner Avenue, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said. The investigation remains ongoing. Coroner ID's Pedestrian Killed In Allentown Hit-Run Crash The pedestrian struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Allentown has been identified, authorities said. Steven Bernhard, 39, of Macungie, died when the driver of a white Acura TSX hit him at 17th Street and Sumner Avenue just after 3 a.m., according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office and the Allentown Police Department. An autopsy on Bernhard's body was scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16 to determine the cause and manner of death, the coroner's office said.
