Lehigh Motorcyclist, 31, Killed; Passenger Injured In Airport Road Crash: State Police

A 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed and her 44-year-old passenger hospitalized in a crash that closed Airport Road in Northampton County Tuesday, April 4, State Police said.

A 2002 Honda VTX motorcycle and 2020 Ram 5500 hauling a 2018 flatbed trailer collided around 1:30 p.m. at the Portland Drive intersection in East Allen Township, PA State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky said.

The woman, a Lehigh Township resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger was also from Lehigh Township. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg for treatment. There were no injuries to the operator or passenger of the Ram 5500 truck.

Assisting at the scene with this investigation: Troop M Forensic Services Unit, Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit, East Allen Township Ambulance, Bethlehem Township Ambulance, Allen Township Fire Department, Northampton Fire Department, Northampton Regional EMS and the Northampton County Coroner.

This crash remains under investigation.
