Matthew “Dutch” Rooney, a beloved writer, arts patron, and longtime supporter of ballet and opera, died Friday, Aug. 15, at his home in East Hampton. He was 51. Rooney was born Nov. 11, 1973, in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania, the son of JoAnn (Wallace) Rooney and the late John Rooney, according to his obituary. Michael Anthony Fisher, Jr., a Bordentown resident, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, nine days before his 21st birthday on Aug. 15, after he was hit by someone making an illegal turn while he was riding his motorcycle home, his family said. According to Levittown Now, a 21-year-old Morrisville, PA woman was turning left form West Trenton Avenue onto Pine Grove Road in Morrisville when she struck Fisher on a Lawasaki street bike, traveling in the opposite direction.
