It happened on the 100 block of St. John Street around 12:30 a.m., city police wrote in a release. Officers said they arrived to find an 18-year-old man laying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment but police did not describe his condition.

While investigators say they believe the shooting was "targeted," they are "getting a lack of cooperation from individuals involved in the incident."

Authorities say several people fled the scene when the shooting began. Area residents with surveillance cameras are asked to check their footage and call city detectives at 610-250-6656.
