Freemansburg Fire Company was dispatched to a home on the 400 block of Roosevelt Street around 9:30 a.m., officials said. Area residents were asked to avoid the area to make way for emergency vehicles.
The Fountain Hill Fire Company was also dispatched to the scene, authorities announced.
About an hour after the fire began, Freemansburg Borough officials said that Roosevelt Street had been closed to traffic "until further notice."
Freemansburg Fire Company later announced that all crews were dismissed and the scene was clear. No injuries were reported by officials, and it remains unclear what started the blaze.
