$8,000 In Damages Done By Chicken Shop Vandals In Philadelphia: Police

A customer who vandalized a chicken restaurant on Broad Street did more than $8,000 in damages, according to an update from the Philadelphia Police Department.

The incident happened when a woman became irate with employees at Crown Chicken & Grill, 2201 North Broad Street, at 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, police said. She demanded free food items, and when the employees didn't comply she began vandalizing the store.

She climbed onto the counter and broke two cash registers, two credit card readers, two receipt printers, and one digital menu monitor, according to a police update on Friday, Oct. 4. Damages totaled $8,470.

The Central Detective Division is looking for help in identifying the irate customer, police said. She is described as a Black woman wearing all black clothing along with black and white Nike sneakers.
