3rd Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of Reading Teen: Report A third person was arrested for the shooting death of a Berks County teen on Friday, Nov. 8, according to an affidavit. Gavin Will, 17, of Reading, was charged for his role in the death of 19-year-old Christian Disla in the 1300 block of Muhlenberg Street on Monday, April 1, according to the  affidavit. Will; Brothers, Luis Santos-Cruz, 19, of Reading; and Jonielle Cruz, 17, of Doylestown, acted together to ambush an unnamed second victim who Disla happened to be getting into the same vehicle with, the affidavit states. Pebble Hill Road is blocked to all traffic at its intersection with Turk Road at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, according to the Doylestown Township Police Department. Police suggest drivers find an alternate route. Approximately 108 PECO customers and 218 PPL Customers are without power in Bucks County, no estimates for when the power would come back on were available.

Drivers were asked to "find alternate route," the police said.  The roadway reopened at 5:28 p.m. according to the police.

Allen Rhoades, 31, of Doylestown, was sentenced to seven to 20 years in prison for providing the drugs that led to the death of Joshua Patterson, 22, of Philadelphia, while both men were serving time on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, the DA's Office detailed in a release. The remnants of now Tropical Storm Debby will move north along the eastern U.S. through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Bucks County first responders reportedly made nine water rescues overnight after up to 5 inches of rain fell. Gas Leak Under Investigation In Doylestown: Officials (Updated) Crews are at the scene of a reported gas leak in Doylestown, borough police said Wednesday, July 10.  The leak happened in the Doylestown Hunt Estates housing development just before noon, according to authorities.  Steeplechase Drive is closed from South Main Street to Birdsong Way while police and firefighters investigate, they added.  UPDATE: PECO crews are on the scene repairing the issue and Steeplechase Drive is back open for through traffic, police said Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the pictured car hit a parked motorcycle near Chambers Restaurant, 18 N. Main Street, then drove away. It happened around 11 p.m. on May 31, according to officials. Black Bear Spotted In Doylestown Backyard: Officials A black bear was seen in the backyard of a Doylestown home, police said Thursday, May 23.  Authorities said the bear was spotted near Ferry Road and Iron Hill Road.  "The Pennsylvania Game Commission has been notified and is formulating a game plan," township police said.  According to the PGC, black bears are the only species of bear to call Pennsylvania home.
