Diaz was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. An autopsy completed Monday confirmed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
Diaz was one of four victims shot outside the BKK Lounge on the 1500 block of Union Boulevard. The shooting followed a fight between two groups inside the club, which spilled into the parking lot before gunfire erupted, police said. The three other victims are expected to survive.
The case remains under investigation by the Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Homicide Task Force, and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
