Barricaded Gunman Taken Into Custody After Standoff In Williamsport: Police A Pennsylvania constable’s attempt to serve eviction papers to a 64-year-old man in Williamsport escalated into a standoff with police on Monday, Dec. 30, police said. Kenneth Austin, a resident of an apartment building at 798 W. Jacob Fichter, 22, of Williamsport, is facing multiple arson-related charges for a series of fires he allegedly started at four locations in the city on Monday, Nov. 4 and Tuesday, Nov. 5, according to the Williamsport Bureau of Police.
