On Aug. 2, at approximately 6 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded to a report of a person screaming and a robbery alarm at Chickie’s and Pete’s, located on the 1500 block of Packer Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered two groups involved in a physical altercation that stemmed from a family gathering. Gun Trafficking Group Operated In Pottstown, Boyertown: Prosecutors Nine members of a suspected gun trafficking organization are in police custody, said the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in a release on Tuesday, July 30.  The group, which operated out of its alleged members' homes and storage units in Pottstown and Boyertown, "specialized in the acquisition and distribution of illegal firearms," prosecutors said.  The investigation began in February, when suspected member James Hiller showed up at Pottstown Hospital with a stab wound, according to authorities. Teen Blocked Police Vehicle At Northeast Philly Car Meet: Authorities Three people were arrested when police broke up a car meet in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night.  Authorities said they arrived at the 500 block of Adams Avenue to find some 200 people and around 100 vehicles.  An officer activated his lights and sirens after bystanders "encircled" his car, PPD said. Arrest Made In Scranton Man's 'Suspicious Death': Police One man is in custody after a 36-year-old was killed in Scranton on Tuesday, May 14.  Police originally called Benjamin Thompson's Jackson Street death "suspicious" before declaring it a homicide on Thursday morning, May 16.  By Thursday night, 24-year-old Rahjuan Marquel Morgan was arrested for criminal homicide and criminal conspiracy, city police said.  "This investigation is still underway and more arrests are expected," officials said.  SPD is asking anyone with information to leave a tip by calling 570-348-4134.
