Prosecutors in California had offered a deal of six months in jail, probation, and other conditions in exchange for a guilty plea, but Rocky rejected it, insisting on his innocence. His gamble paid off.
The high-profile trial drew support from his longtime partner Rihanna, who attended sporadically, at times bringing their young sons, 2-year-old RZA and 1-year-old Riot.
With the legal battle behind him, Rocky is set for a major year ahead, including a headlining performance at Rolling Loud in March, a co-chair role at the Met Gala in May, and a film debut alongside Denzel Washington in Spike Lee's upcoming movie "Highest 2 Lowest."
