1 Hospitalized After Shooting At Delco Mall Parking Lot: Police

One person was hospitalized after a shopping mall shooting in Delaware County on Sunday night, Oct. 13, according to police.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of The Shops at Springfield Park, located at 857 Baltimore Pike, around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, the Springfield Township Police Department stated in a release on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

There was no active threat to the community, according to police.

A person was taken to the hospital but their identity and condition were not released by police, CBS Philadelphia reported.

A representative with the National Realty Corporation, which co-owns the shopping complex, confirmed the shooting to Daily Voice, but said that the company did not have a statement at this time.
