Suspect Comes Forward After Hanover Man Shot In Chest During Argument (Update) The suspect in a Hanover shooting has come forward and is cooperating with police, authorities announced on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024. The update follows a shooting that occurred at an apartment building in the 100 block of Broadway on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, where a 34-year-old Hanover man was shot in the upper chest during an altercation with his neighbor, Hanover Borough Police said. The victim was transported to York Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, police reported. 1 Hospitalized After Hanover Rowhome Fire One person was hospitalized after an early morning fire tore through a rowhome attic in Hanover Borough on Monday, Nov. 4, officials said. The fire broke out in the first block of South Penn Street, near Stock Street. Hanover Area Fire & Rescue crews arrived to find flames pouring from the attic, dispatchers said. Firefighters acted quickly to contain the blaze, while Hanover police secured the scene around 2:30 a.m. One resident of the home was injured and taken to a nearby hospital in Hanover.
