Pennsylvania State Troopers Injured In Fatal Philly Crash: Officials
One person has died after a crash involving a state police car early Friday morning, June 14. Troopers were driving south on Christopher Columbus Boulevard responding to a separate incident around 1:30 a.m., authorities said. At the intersection with Race Street, a northbound Mazda pickup truck "made an illegal left turn" into the path of the state police car, according to officials. The driver of the Mazda was fatally injured and the two troopers were taken to Jefferson Hospital with "moderate injuries," authorities said. They have since been discharged. An investigation…

Officer Hospitalized With Medical Episode While Arresting Wanted Person, Police Say
An Allentown police officer was hospitalized after suffering a medical episode while trying to arrest a wanted person, officials said. Police said only that the officer suffered some sort of medical episode while attempting to apprehend the suspect around 12:45 p.m. Monday, June 10 on the 600 block of N. 9th Street. Emergency aid was rendered on scene and the officer was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The officer is expected to survive. No further details were released.

Police Car 'Intentionally Struck' In Northeast Philadelphia: Authorities
One officer was taken to the hospital after a driver "intentionally struck" a Philadelphia police car early Monday morning, June 10, officials say. A Chevrolet Camaro hit the marked police car on the 3200 block of Friendship Street in Mayfair around 3:30 a.m., authorities said. The police car sustained front-end damage and a broken front axle and had to be towed from the scene along with the Camaro, according to PPD. A suspect was arrested and an investigation is underway. Police Chase In Carbon County Ends In Crash: State Police
A police pursuit through Carbon County ended with a wreck that sent a 20-year-old driver to the hospital on Thursday, June 6, according to troopers. State police said they tried to stop the driver on Route 248 in Franklin Township around 6:30 p.m. He fled for 10 miles before losing control of his car and striking a tree in Towamensing Township, authorities said. The driver, a Lehighton resident, was air-lifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with serious injuries. State police said the investigation is ongoing.

A police officer fatally shot two dogs after they attacked a woman in West Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, June 5, officials say. According to PPD, a 57-year-old man was calling for help when a stray dog attacked his pet on his porch on the 1500 block of North 57th Street. An 18-year-old woman intervened using mace and the pit bulls were separated, but the 57-year-old's other dog ran out from the home and attacked the woman, police said. A 30-year-old Reading man has been identified following a crash that sent 11 people to the hospital, police announced on Friday, May 31. Marilus Mousardy died at the scene of a crash between two minivans at the intersection of State Drive and Schaeffer Road at 4:56 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, according to the South Lebanon Township Police.
