Sexual Assault At Park In Capital Region Under Investigation
Police in the region are investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred at a popular park. The incident occurred in Albany at 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, in the area of Six Mile Park, located at 135 Fuller Road. According to Albany Police, when officers arrived at the park, they learned that the victim, a woman, was inside a vehicle at the time of the assault. Man From Region Charged With Series Of Commercial Burglaries
A man from the region has been charged with allegedly committing three commercial burglaries. Sullivan County resident Emmanuel N. Berrian, age 34, of Monticello, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 29, and charged with three counts of felony burglary and petit larceny. According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, Berrian was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple burglaries that occurred in Monticello. Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for the person or people who fired multiple shots in a neighborhood, striking a man and an occupied home. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, on N. Clinton St., in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, the department received multiple reports of shots fired and responded to the area. Police are investigating a stabbing in the region that sent a man to the hospital. The attack happened in Albany, near the intersection of Quail and West streets, shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Albany Police said officers found a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed in his back. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 24-year-old man was killed and a second victim was injured in an early-morning stabbing attack in the region. Emergency crews in Albany were called at around 3:40 a.m. Monday, June 3, for a stabbing near Washington Avenue and Quail Street, one block from the University at Albany’s downtown campus.
