22-Year-Old Killed In NY Thruway Crash A 22-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed after allegedly attempting to pass another vehicle on the Thruway. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 11:25 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, on I-87 in Clarkstown. The Albany County incident happened at around 2 a.m. Sunday, June 30, on I-87 in Bethlehem. New York State Police said 36-year-old James Gibson Jr., of West Coxsackie, was walking in the right southbound lane near Exit 23 when he was struck by a car.
