A man faces a driving under the influence charge after police say his Toyota RAV4 struck two New York State Police vehicles on Long Island. The crash occurred just after midnight on Saturday, Nov. 16 on the eastbound lanes of the Southern State Parkway near exits 39 and 40S in Babylon. A Long Island man is accused of trying to kill his ex-wife just hours after she obtained a protection order against him. Willie Curry, age 36, of Brentwood, was indicted on attempted murder and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 14. Richard Wolffe Jr., age 39, of Bay Shore, was indicted on multiple counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 14. A man was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison for murdering his ex-fiancée in an underground parking garage on Long Island. The shooting occurred on March 31, 2022, in the New Hyde Park garage of the medical facility where the victim worked. A man was killed while working on a car outside a Long Island auto shop. The incident happened in Bay Shore, at the Pep Boys on Sunrise Highway, sometime overnight Wednesday, Nov. 6. Suffolk County Police said Stephan Edwards was in the parking lot working on a Kia sedan that was raised on a jack when the vehicle fell on him. Alert Issued For Missing 17-Year-Old Girl From Bay Shore
Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island. Jenna Ceruti, age 17, of Bay Shore, was last seen on Sunday, Nov. 3, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. She is believed to be in the local area. No other information was given. Ceruti previously went missing for two weeks in August 2023 before being located. She is 5-foot-7 and 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 9:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in Islip. A 54-year-old Bay Shore man was crossing Brentwood Road at the intersection of Colorado Avenue, when he was struck by a northbound 2018 Hyundai Elantra.
