Support is on the rise for a motorcyclist couple from Canada left with serious injuries after being struck by a DUI driver in Greene County, NY. As previously reported by Daily Voice, Craig "Hammer" Sutherland and Charity Hogan, were struck by Derik Wirhouski, 50, who police had said blew a stop sign on Route 23 in Catskill on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Building To Be Demolished Following Devastating Fire In Region
A Hudson Valley apartment building that was destroyed by a quick-moving fire will be demolished this week. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, at The Highlands (the former Avalon Gardens) in Nanuet. According to Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, the fire destroyed eight units, leaving all homeless. The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, on Route 52 in the Lava area of the town of Tusten.
