Restaurant Announces Closure In Hudson Valley After half a decade, a restaurant in Northern Westchester has announced its upcoming end.  In a social media post on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 140 Grand in Croton-on-Hudson revealed it would be permanently closing its doors on Sunday, Oct. 13.  The eatery, located at 140 Grand St., did not give a specific reason for its closure but thanked those who had stopped by since its opening.  "We thank you for all the support and love we received over the last five years," the owner wrote in their post, adding, "We definitely made great use of this location."  The restaurant's kitchen i…

Driver Injured In 2-Car Crash In Front Of Historic Hudson Valley Manor A two-car crash in front of a historic Northern Westchester manor-turned-museum caused injuries, firefighters said.  The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Saturday, Sept. 7 at around 7:20 p.m., when two vehicles collided in front of Van Cortlandt Manor on South Riverside Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews dealt with a fluid spill from one of the cars while EMS treated a driver injured in the crash.  Both vehicles were later towed away, the department said. The cause of the crash was not released.

Car Flips On Roof In Hudson Valley Crash A car overturned following a crash on a road in the region. The incident happened just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Northern Westchester when the car flipped on the eastern half of Colabaugh Pond Road in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. Arriving first responders found that the driver had managed to escape the vehicle on his own.  The driver later declined a trip to the hospital after being evaluated.  The cause of the crash was not released.

Firefighter Injured During Blaze At Northern Westchester Residence A firefighter was injured during a blaze at a Northern Westchester home that began in the residence's garage.  The incident began on Thursday, May 16 just after 6 p.m., when Croton-on-Hudson firefighters raced to a home on Memory Lane for a reported blaze.  Within minutes, crews were at the scene and confirmed that a fire had begun in the residence's garage.
