Two Men From Region Nabbed With 2 Kilograms Of Cocaine On I-87 In a significant drug bust, the New York State Police apprehended two Staten Island men during a routine traffic stop on I-87 in Catskill.  Walter A. Harris, age 38, and Johnny C. Mitchell, age 35, were busted shortly after midnight on Saturday, Dec. 7, said Trooper AJ Hicks.  Hicks said an investigation led to the discovery of approximately 2.2 kilograms of cocaine and more than $3,200 in cash. Both men were charged with possession of a controlled substance and intent to sell.  They were arraigned and held without bail at the Greene County Jail.

According to Lt. Robert McLymore of the Wallkill Police, the home invasion occurred at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, on Ross Lane in Wallkill. An investigation found that four suspects forcefully entered the victim’s residence. McLymore said one suspect pulled out a handgun, placing it in the back of the male victim while entering the home. Hudson Valley Man Busted With Kilo Of Cocaine In Orange County During Traffic Stop, Police Say A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after he was allegedly busted with a kilo of cocaine during a traffic stop. Ulster County resident Anthony Johnson, age 41, of Kingston, was stopped on Thursday, Oct. 10, on I-87 while driving a 2018 Audi Q7 in Orange County in Cornwall. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a probable cause search of the vehicle during the stop by troopers and K9 Moran yielded a kilo of cocaine and $7,739 in cash.
