Line Of Severe Storms Moving Through With Heavy Rain Causing Flooding In Parts Of Region
A line of storms is now moving across the region from west to east, producing drenching downpours that are flooding some areas. A radar image of the region above, from just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, shows severe storms marked in red. Severe Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Westchester
Tens of thousands are without power after a severe storm swept through the Northeast overnight. At around 7 a.m. Thursday, June 27, a total of around 35,000 customers in New York are without electricity, according to poweroutage.us. Most of the outages are in areas farther north with a combined 27,110 outages in Orange, Dutchess, and Ulster counties.
