41-Year-Old Killed In Early-Morning Collision On Long Island

A man was killed in an early-morning collision between a car and bicycle on Long Island.

The incident happened in Farmingdale, near the intersection of Fulton and Staples streets, shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Nassau County Police said a Honda SUV was heading southbound on Fulton Street when it struck a 41-year-old man riding a bicycle.

The bicyclist, a 41-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity had not been made public as of early Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the 37-year-old man driving of the Honda remained at the scene and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
