Drunken Car Crash In Nassau County Leaves Woman Injured: Authorities A woman was injured and arrested in a drunken car crash on Long Island on Wednesday night, April 29, authorities said. The woman was driving on Merrick Road in Wantagh when she crashed near Fir Street, according to photos shared by John F. Scalesi Jr. on Facebook. No other vehicles were involved, and the woman was accused of DWI, according to Scalesi, a member of the Nassau County Police Department commissioner’s council. Cops identified the driver only as a 47-year-old woman, Patch reported. She collided with a tree around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to investigators.
