A Freeport man has been arrested after allegedly exposing himself in Roosevelt, Nassau County police announced.
Officers responded to a call about a man inappropriately touching himself on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:36 p.m., according to the First Squad. An investigation identified the suspect as Paul Scott, 23, of Dutchess Street in Freeport.
Scott was taken into custody and charged with public lewdness. He is scheduled for arraignment on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street.

A 25-year-old Mineola man has been reported missing months after he was last seen leaving his home, Nassau County police announced on Thursday, March 6.
Justin Bracken was last seen on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at 3 p.m. leaving his residence in Mineola, but authorities were not notified of his disappearance until Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 7:06 p.m., according to the Missing Persons Squad.

An 84-year-old woman outsmarted a scammer who tried to trick her into handing over nearly $10,000 in Westbury, Nassau County police announced.
Etienne Jackson, 39, of Menands, New York, was arrested after he allegedly attempted to steal $9,800 from the elderly woman in a common "grandparent scam," detectives said.
Jackson called the victim on Saturday, March 1, claiming her grandson had been arrested and needed bail money, police said. But instead of handing over the cash, the woman contacted the Nassau County Police Department’s Third Squad for help.

The family of a missing 17-year-old girl from New York fears she may be the victim of sex trafficking.
Long Island resident Catherine Berger, of Baldwin, was last seen leaving Baldwin High School at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, according to Nassau County Police.
Berger has ADHD, suffers from impulse control issues, and requires medication, her family told Daily Voice. The teen may be heading upstate to meet an unknown male.

Heidy Tamatzin, 12, of Hempstead, had last been seen at around 11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, according to Nassau County Police. She was reported missing early Tuesday, Feb. 4.
