3 Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle West Islip Crash One person suffered serious injuries and two others were also hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 4:15 p.m. Friday, July 12, in West Islip on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) between Higbie Lane and Udall Road.
