Driver Tried Killing Woman With Her Car During Dispute At Bellport Shopping Center, DA Says A Long Island woman is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly striking another woman with her car. Philomena Mistretta, age 51, of Coram, was indicted on multiple charges in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 8, in connection with an incident at North Bellport’s Miracle Plaza on Montauk Highway. Coram Resident Intentionally Strikes Woman With Minivan In North Bellport, Police Say A Long Island resident has been accused of intentionally striking another woman with her vehicle. The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in North Bellport. Following a dispute between the two in a parking lot, located at 1733 Montauk Highway, Philomena Mistretta, 51, of Coram, got into her 2004 Toyota Sienna and intentionally struck the woman with the minivan.  The 63-year-old was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue with serious injuries. It happened Saturday, Aug. 31 at about 7:45 p.m. in North Bellport. The two individuals were shot during a confrontation between two groups of people on Patchogue Avenue, between Doane Avenue and Bayview Avenue, according to the Suffolk County Police. The victim was walking in the right lane of westbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27), east of Exit 55, when she was struck by a 2015 Kenworth tractor-trailer, according to Suffolk County Police. Hit-Run Driver Injures 2 Employees Outside Long Island Campus Two employees are hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash outside a Long Island school. The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, in the parking lot of Eastern Suffolk BOCES in North Bellport, located on Martha Avenue. Suffolk County Police said a driver struck a 31-year-old Coram man and a 41-year-old Ronkonkoma woman as they walked through the parking lot. The driver then fled the scene.
