Isaac Freeman III, a rapper known as Fatman Scoop, died after having a medical emergency while performing on stage in Connecticut. The 53-year-old New York City native collapsed during a performance in New Haven County at the Hamden Town Center Park, according to authorities. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Help is on the way for Long Island homeowners who were impacted by severe flooding. Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a disaster emergency for Suffolk County on Friday, Aug. 23, following this week’s record rainfall that resulted in major flooding to homes and businesses, and washed out several roads. At least six homes were heavily damaged and roads were washed out following a powerful storm system that brought drenching rain and widespread flooding to parts of New York and Connecticut.
