Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For Violent 2017 Home Invasion In Washingtonville A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to nine years in prison following a dramatic burglary incident where he and an accomplice posed as FBI agents during a violent home invasion.  Westchester County resident Oscar Castillo, age 37, from Yonkers, was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 18, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Man From Region Nabbed For Assault, Knocking Victim's Teeth Out, Police Say A man from the region was charged with assault after he allegedly broke into a home and knocked a victim's teeth out.  The incident occurred in Sullivan County on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Town of Thompson. According to Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies encountered Xavier Vega, age 30, of Monticello. Suspect Nabbed In Hudson Valley Home Invasion-Robbery, Police Say A 34-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to shoot a homeowner during a Hudson Valley home invasion and robbery. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 9:40 p.m., Monday, May 20, on Dickens Street in Stony Point. According to Lt. Greg Becker of the Stony Point Police, a man called police saying they needed help after someone tried to shoot him during a home invasion.
