Newburgh resident Jyaire Adams was arrested on Monday, Feb. 17, in connection with an incident in the city on Sept. 27, 2024, the City of Newburgh Police Department announced on Thursday, Feb. 27.  On the day of the incident, at around 11:35 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of William Street and South William Street in Newburgh.  There, officers found evidence of gunfire, including four 9mm shell casings.…

Orange County Drug Dealer Sentenced For Weapon Possession In New Jersey: Prosecutor A 29-year-old Montague Township man was sentenced to five years in prison on Friday, Jan. 31 after pleading guilty to unlawfully possessing a firearm with intent to use it, authorities said. Authorities were originally investigating Keanu Alicea last year for running a drug distribution ring in Orange County, New York, Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Sahil K. Kabse said. When police searched Alicea’s residence they found a handgun along with controlled dangerous substances, Kabse said. Alicea also pled guilty to illegal drug distribution in New York, Kabse said.
