Vehicle Catches On Fire In Multi-Car Crash On Taconic State Parkway In Hudson Valley Firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam County that left one car engulfed in flames, fire officials said. The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene around 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.  Upon arrival, crews confirmed a vehicle fire on the parkway in Putnam Valley and immediately stretched a hose line to quickly extinguish the flames.  No further details were immediately available regarding injuries or the cause of the crash. Firefighters cleared the scene after ensuring the area was safe.
