A Guatemalan man who cut off his GPS ankle monitor and spent nearly seven years on the run has admitted using a counterfeit green card to get a job at a New York farm, federal prosecutors announced on Monday, Aug. 24.
Edgar Diaz, 47, pleaded guilty to one count of immigration fraud on Wednesday, Aug. 12, according to the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York.
