ID Released For Hicksville Man Killed In Hit-Run Westbury DWI Crash The identity has been released of a man killed in a hit-and-run Long Island crash involving an allegedly drunk driver. The crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in Westbury. A 2006 gray Chrysler Sebring was traveling eastbound on Old Country Road when it struck a bicyclist near the intersection of State Street.  The bicyclist sustained extensive injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police paramedic. According to Nassau County Police, the victim, a man riding a bicycle, was traveling eastbound, approaching Glen Cove Avenue from a walkway behind a residential building. Girl Hospitalized After Incident Involving Mini School Bus In Nassau County A 10-year-old girl was hospitalized after she lost her balance while riding a bicycle and struck the side of a mini-school bus. The incident happened around 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in Roosevelt. The bus, which was driven by a 44-year-old woman, was traveling eastbound on West Greenwich Avenue. The girl sustained severe abrasions to both of her legs.  Her 40-year-old mother suffered a right-hand injury while trying to help.
