39-Year-Old Man Killed In Hudson Valley Crash A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash that caused an hours-long closure on a busy Northern Westchester road, police said.  Brandon Plunkett, age 39, died in the crash on Thursday, Aug. 15 in North Castle that happened at around 3:30 p.m. on northbound Route 22 between Route 120 and Old Orchard Street, North Castle Police announced on Monday, Aug. 19.  According to the department, three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a motorcycle operated by Plunkett, who succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident.  Other drivers and passengers involved in the cr…

'Happy-Go-Lucky' Westchester Police Officer Killed In Crash A 23-year-old Westchester County police officer was killed in a Hudson Valley crash. The crash occurred in Orange County at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, in the town of Highlands on Route 9W northbound according to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police. Port Chester Police Officer Christopher Bernal, who was driving a 2004 Honda motorcycle northbound on SR 9W, was killed when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, Nevel said. Northern Westchester CVS Incident Involving Woman Leads To Chase, 3 Arrests Three Connecticut men were apprehended after an incident involving a woman in a CVS parking lot in New York led to a police chase and separate crashes. The chain of events began around 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 17 in Northern Westchester County. The North Castle Police Department received a call from a person reporting a concerning incident that had just occurred in the CVS parking lot at 450 Main St. in Armonk, according to Lt.
