Fatal Crash: Motorist Killed After Being Ejected From Vehicle In Hudson Valley A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 in Ulster County in the town of Gardiner. A preliminary investigation by New York State Police revealed that a 2017 Ford operated by a 62-year-old Long Island resident Carle Place, was traveling east bound on State Route 44/55 and made a left turn onto State Route 299 traveling west.  He failed to yield the right of way to a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling west causing the motorcycle to strike the vehicle, police said. Victims ID'd After Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Hudson Valley Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road.  Hicks said LaFave struck a 2017 Lincoln Navigator head-on in the left southbound lane. 57-Year-Old Killed In Head-On Crash With Pickup Truck In Hudson Valley A 57-year-old man was killed when he allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the front of a pickup truck. The crash occurred in Orange County around 2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct.11, in front of 103 Tower Drive in Wallkill. According to Chief Robert Hertman of the Wallkill Police, an investigation found that the victim, a Bronx man, was driving a motorcycle on Tower Drive when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the front of a truck traveling in the opposite direction. Person Extricated After 2-Vehicle Crash In Region A man was seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred in Sullivan County on Route 17 at 7:40 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the town of Liberty. According to Trooper Jennifer Alvarez of the New York State Police, a 2011 Cadillac traveling northwest near the ramp at Exit 110A pulled in front of a 1995 Ford on Route 55, causing the front of the Ford to hit the driver's side of the Cadillac. Crash Temporarily Closes Road In Hudson Valley, Causes Injury A vehicle was left on its side following a crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hour-long road closure.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday afternoon, Oct. 4, when vehicles collided on Starr Ridge Road near Danbury Road (Route 202) in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  One driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.  According to the department, Starr Ridge Road was closed for around an hour as the crash site was cleared. The cause was not detailed.

2-Year-Old Struck, Killed By SUV In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old girl was struck and killed by a van in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, on Calvert Drive in the village of Kaser in Ramapo. According to Ramapo Police Lt.
