Peekskill, A Northern Westchester woman has pleaded guilty to crashing a stolen car into five pedestrians, including two children. The incident causing serious injuries happened on Friday, March 15, in Manhattan. A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries. The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac. According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital. An inmate at a local jail is facing more charges after allegedly assaulting a corrections officer. The incident happened Wednesday, May 22, at the Saratoga County jail in Ballston Spa, but was not reported publicly until Tuesday, July 2. Sheriff’s officials said John Rathbun, age 26, punched a corrections officer in the face and bit him, causing injuries. The officer was treated at a medical facility and released.
