Large Brush Fire Erupts In Hudson Valley Near Country Club Several fire and police departments are battling a large brush fire near a country club in the Hudson Valley.  The fire began in Putnam County on Thursday, Oct. 24 around 11:30 a.m. in the area of Golf Ridge Road and China Circle Court near the Sedgewood Club golf course in the town of Kent, the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services announced around 12:45 p.m.  Several departments are now operating at the scene of the fire. According to Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, an investigation revealed that two men were riding a single four-wheel ATV westbound on Rio Dam Road when they struck a deer in the roadway.  Chaboty said this caused the quad to leave the pavement and strike a tree. According to Trooper Jennifer Alvarez of the New York State Police, a 2011 Cadillac traveling northwest near the ramp at Exit 110A pulled in front of a 1995 Ford on Route 55, causing the front of the Ford to hit the driver's side of the Cadillac. Person Jumps From Bridge In Hudson Valley Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The crash happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Aug. 18 around 3:30 p.m., when a car crashed over a guardrail on Route 32 (Crane Road) in the area of Angela Drive in the town of Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  No injuries were reported and both the driver and passenger refused ambulance trips.  Route 32 was closed for about an hour as the vehicle was towed away.
