Northern Westchester Resident Cited For Efforts To Make 'Ultimate Energy-Efficient Home' A Northern Westchester resident has received national recognition for his efforts to create the ultimate energy-efficient home almost completely from scratch.  Ossining resident Daniel Colombini was honored with a 2024 US Department of Energy Housing Innovation Award for his "passive house," according to Goldman Copeland, the New York City-based consulting engineering firm where he is a Principal.  Colombini's house is one of only 24 in the country to receive the honor and one of only two in New York.
