A police officer was injured when a driver tried to flee a Westchester traffic stop and pinned his leg between two vehicles, authorities said. Several residents were saved from the rear of a burning Northern Westchester residence after officers braved flames and a downed live wire to rescue them. The blaze happened in Ossining on Tuesday night, Aug. 6, when a residence on Maurice Avenue went up in flames, according to Ossining Police. Man Drowns During Bicycle Pursuit With Capital Region Police
A police pursuit in the region ended with a bicyclist dead in the Hudson River. The Rensselaer County incident happened in Troy, near 1st Avenue and 116th Street, on Monday evening, July 8.
