75-Year-Old Albany Man Locked Up On Child Porn Charges: State Police
A 75-year-old Capital Region man has been arrested for possession of child porn, police said.
Luke Ryan, 75, of Albany, was detained Wednesday, Sept. 16 following a search of his home, New York State Police said.
Troopers got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led them to investigate Ryan, authorities said. They obtained a search warrant for his home and executed the search Wednesday, according to state police.

A Long Island man stole packages from a Macy’s and tips from a pizza place, leading to his arrest, police said.
Nelson A. Juarez Nunez, 24, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Wednesday morning, Sept. 16 following a report from the Macy’s off West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Cops were called around 11:30 a.m. for a report of someone stealing packages from the store, Southampton police said. They arrived, found Juarez Nunez, and arrested him, according to officials.

A Capital Region man was arrested for having child porn in his home on Tuesday, Sept. 15, police said.
Kevin M. Furlong, 43, of Clifton Park, was released following his arraignment, New York State Police said.
Law enforcement searched Furlong’s home Tuesday following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and found “images consistent with child sexual exploitation,” state police said. The search led directly to his arrest, according to authorities.

Kashawn K. Miller, 29, of Troy, was also accused of drugged driving and possession of drug paraphernalia, New York State Police said.
Miller was at a Dunkin’ drive-thru in Oneonta, Otsego County, around 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14 when he passed the worker a counterfeit $50 bill as payment, investigators said.
