Soldiers Stationed In NY Sent To Help Helene Recovery Efforts As Death Toll Hits 200 Several engineer soldiers with the New York State National Guard, including some stationed in Northern Westchester, have been sent to help southern communities bounce back from the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. A total of 20 engineer soldiers, including some stationed at Camp Smith in Cortlandt, have been deployed to South Carolina to support the recovery efforts, Gov. Missing Woman Found Dead At Bottom Of Cliff In Region A missing woman who had not been seen in a day was located by a New York State Police drone at the bottom of a Hudson Valley cliff.  The incident occurred in Orange County around 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at the Hawk's Nest in Sparrow Bush. According to State Police Trooper Steven Nevel, the 41-year-old New York City woman from Brooklyn, had been reported missing to the New York City Police on Thursday, Sept. 26.  Nevel said Deerpark Police located a 2008 Honda FIT registered to the missing woman at a pull-off area along Route 97.  A state police pilot conducted a search u…
