A Long Island man will spend a decade in prison for stabbing a 21-year-old in the chest during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Shark Sighting Keeps Swimmers Out Of Water At Several Long Island Beaches
A shark sighting kept swimmers out of the water at three New York beaches. The sighting was reported on Long Island at Nickerson Beach in Nassau County. As a precaution, the town of Hempstead also closed Lido Beach and Malibu Beach for swimmers for a brief period early Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3. Man Touches Woman Near Elementary School On Long Island: Police
Police are searching for a man who allegedly committed a sex offense near an elementary school. It happened on Sunday, June 23 in Seaford, according to Nassau County Police. At about 5:30 p.m. that day, a 34-year-old woman was walking in the back of East Broadway Elementary School, which is located at 751 Seamans Neck Road. Man Sets Off Fireworks At Long Island 7-Eleven, Remains At Large: Police
Authorities are searching for a person who caused an explosion at a Long Island 7-Eleven and his two accomplices. It happened on Wednesday, May 29 in Elmont. Just after 11:33 p.m., Nassau County Police said that a man walked into the 7-Eleven located at 254 Elmont Road, lit a single firework, and threw it into the store’s middle aisle.
