A Uniondale man is accused of slashing a woman with a knife and attacking a child who tried to intervene, Nassau County police announced on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.
Milton Mendez, 45, was arrested after a violent altercation in a Uniondale home that unfolded late Tuesday night, authorities said.
The incident began around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, when Mendez and a 39-year-old woman began arguing inside the residence.
